our story
In 1984, Pasquale left his home in Naples, Italy and emigrated to Brooklyn, NY, in search of the American dream and great Italian food. For a few years he worked with his family at an Italian restaurant and in 1988, he opened his own pizzeria in Jackson, NJ. In 1990, he and his brother, Vincenzo, bought Dusal’s Restaurant in Milltown, NJ. This was where he met his wife Trisha, and together they opened Casa Giuseppe, a fine dining Italian restaurant in Iselin. They sold Dusal’s and then, in 2012 built and opened Pasquale Brick Oven Pizza with Vinny and Trisha. Craftsman Joe Calcagno from Staten Island spent 41 days building the traditional brick oven. They sold this restaurant in 2014, but coming full circle, re-purchased it in 2023, along with partners, Jessica Waite and Yovany Martinez.
